Known Compounds Recognized as Rice Phytoalexins

日本語版

The widely accepted definition of phytoalexins is "low-molecular-weight antimicrobial substances that are a biosynthesized de novo and accumulated in plant tissues after pathogen infection." Therefore, antimicrobial substances present constitutively without pathogen infection and high-molecular-weight antimicrobial substances (ex. PR-proteins) are omitted. Sometimes, it is controversial which compounds are identified as phytoalexins. Here, compounds that the author of this page (M. Hasegawa) recognized as rice phytoalexins are listed.

The detail of each phytoalexin will be available later.
