1/14, 15 には茨城大学農学部でも大学入学共通テストが実施されました．時折小雨が降る不安定な天気でしたが，幸いこの時期にしては暖かな日で雪や路面凍結のような問題は発生しませんでした．

仕事始め，105 分授業，今週の輪読
1/4 から業務開始，1/6 から授業開始となりました．授業開始の後にすぐに三連休となったので，遠方に帰省している学生にとってはちょっと厳しい日程になりました．近年は授業回数の確保が厳格化されているためにどうしても厳しいスケジュールになってしまう傾向があります．
そういう問題を解決するという意味もあって，2024 年 4 月から茨城大学では従来の 90 分授業を 105 分授業に変更することが決定されています（令和６年度からの授業時間の変更について）．これにより今までの 15 回+期末試験が 13 回+期末試験に変更になるため，授業のスケジュールに余裕を持たせられるようになることが期待されています．しかし，その代償として一コマの授業がかなり長時間になってしまうので，教える立場としては授業をより一層工夫しないと 90 分でも飽きられてしまいがちなのに，さらに学生に飽きられてしまいそうです．また，5 講時終了は 18:45 とかなり遅い時刻になってしまいます．
